Death of Mulayam Singh Yadav: He was admitted to Medanta Hospital since October 2, suffering from kidney-urine infection.
Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has passed away. 82-year-old Mulayam Singh was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram since September 26 due to a urinary infection. He was admitted to the ICU on October 2 as his oxygen level dropped.
The PRO of Medanta said that Mulayam Singh had developed blood pressure problem along with urine infection. As the condition did not improve, the doctors shifted him to ventilator.
Born on 22 November 1939 in Saifai, Mulayam Singh Yadav was educated in Etawah, Fatehabad and Agra. Mulayam was also a professor at Jain Inter College in Karhal, Mainpuri for a few days. Mulayam Singh, the second among five siblings, had two marriages. His first wife Malti Devi passed away in May 2003. Akhilesh Yadav is the son of Mulayam's first wife. Mulayam was ill for the last two years

On 26 September 2022, Mulayam Singh Yadav finally reached Medanta Gurugram for investigation. Since then he was admitted there until the end. On 24 June 2022, Mulayam Singh Yadav went to Medanta for a routine checkup. He was admitted for 2 days as his health deteriorated. On 15 June 2022, Mulayam was also admitted to Madanta. He was discharged the same day after investigation. On July 1, 2021, when Mulayam Singh Yadav's health was deteriorating, he was admitted to Medanta Hospital. In October 2020, Mulayam also tested positive for corona, although he was vaccinated. Admitted to Maidanta in August 2020 due to abdominal pain. A urine infection was detected in the test.
He was Chief Minister of UP three times and MP seven times
A wrestling enthusiast in his youth, Mulayam Singh was in politics for 55 years. Mulayam Singh first became an MLA from Jaswantnagar in 1967 at the age of 28. However, his family had no political background. On 5 December 1989, Mulayam became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the first time. Later he became the Chief Minister of the state two more times. He also held the charge of Defense Minister in the Deve Gowda and Gujral governments at the Centre. Mulayam Singh, popularly known as Netaji, was elected seven times as a Lok Sabha MP and nine times as an MLA.
Formed the SP in 1992, then became a veteran leader in politics
Mulayam Singh Yadav announced the formation of the Samajwadi Party in Lucknow on 4 October 1992. Mulayam SP President, Janeswar Mishra Vice President, Kapil Dev Singh and Mohammad Azam Khan became General Secretary of the party. Mohan Singh was made the spokesperson. A month after this announcement, on November 4 and 5, he organized the first national convention of the party at Begum Hazrat Mahal Park. After this, Netaji's party made a permanent place in the politics of Uttar Pradesh.
